About the role In your role as Head of Marketing Strategy & Operations you will be part of the Cbus Brand and Marketing Leadership team, reporting to the Group Head of Brand and Marketing and be integral in the day-to-day operational management of the Cbus Brand and Marketing function. In this newly created role, you will be providing oversight on marketing strategy, planning and prioritization, budgeting and forecasting, performance reporting, research insights, marketing effectiveness measurement, ways of working and go to market frameworks. This role will provide exceptional support to our Group Head of Brand & Marketing. In this senior leadership role you will also be key in building the capability to empower and upskill the Brand & Marketing team as part of shaping the team for the future. The role will serve as a core strategic resource for the department, working closely with leaders and cross-functional teams to oversee the execution of Brand and Marketing's comprehensive, data-driven and member-centric strategic priorities and program of work. Key Responsibilities As the Head of Marketing Strategy & Operations, you'll play a pivotal role in developing the Brand & Marketing strategy to drive alignment around our strategic areas of focus and initiative priorities, supporting the Cbus growth plan by collaborating cross-functionally and with relevant stakeholders across the business and agency partners. Your key responsibilities will include: Developing and embedding the strategic planning cadence for the Brand and Marketing team to enable annual, quarterly and monthly monitoring, and act as the key interface into the Group Strategy planning processes. Aligning the Brand and Marketing team on shared performance metrics to inform prioritisation of the go to market roadmap and strive for continuous improvement. Working alongside the Brand & Marketing Leadership team and teams to ensure effective marketing performance measurement is practiced, monitoring and reporting is in place across the teams and embedding the use of 'market mix modelling' to inform decision making. Implement appropriate Go to Market planning and governance frameworks and tools to support the teams, including optimal ways of working and process automation to improve operational efficiencies. Championing operating as a member and employer centric team, creating space for strategic thinking to execute our brand and marketing plan with excellence. Providing overall budget management support for Brand and Marketing, as the primary liaison point with Finance, to support the operational efficiency of the teams and forecasting deliverables. Providing oversight of the Brand and Marketing Risk Management Plan working closely with risk and compliance business partner teams, ensuring effectiveness of monitoring risk and controls including controls self-assessments. Helping shape the culture of the team to drive engagement and build the capability to operate as a progressive, contemporary marketing team, enabling growth and succession planning. About You You will have extensive high level strategic planning experience, coordinating large cross functional teams within a brand and marketing environment. Your resource management experience will enable you to define scope and support initiatives appropriately, and your project management experience will enable you to organise your team to deliver upon go to market initiatives and ways of working process improvements as necessary. You will have highly developed analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret and effectively communicate policies, strategies and procedures within a complex and often sensitive environment. You will be an impactful storyteller who can take complexity and simplify it using data and insights to influence an optimal outcome. You will have excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate, liaise and work with people at all levels including Executives and Board, both internal and external with tact, maturity, and appreciation of sensitive issues. You will have proven ability to lead teams, build strong working relationships with stakeholders and ability to influence on improving business practices and embedding change, with curiosity and a growth mindset.
