JOB SUMMARY Completes agricultural and rural residential real estate appraisals to meet customer and association needs.
Assists with the association's benchmark program and collection of market sales information.
Collaborate with appraisal department staff, as needed, to assure timely completion of appraisals.
Conducts market surveys and collects real estate sales information to support appraisals and asset valuation.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITES Conducts high quality and credible real estate appraisals to support client appraisal needs, as regulated by state law and in compliance with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP).
Collects real estate sales information to support appraisal and asset valuation.
Completes appraisals of agricultural properties with minimal supervision and in compliance with FCA regulations and USPAP.
Conducts external fee appraisals that meet USPAP requirements and state standards.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in agriculture or business-related field.
Up to two years professional certified appraisal experience and skilled in land and building valuation, using the three approaches to value.
Knowledge of the agricultural industry and the appraisal process as it pertains to agriculture.
Knowledge of Federal, State, and local laws affecting real estate values.
Annual completion of continuing education credits as required in appraisal subjects which carry recertification credit with one of the appraisal organization members of the Appraisal Foundation.
Membership in a nationally recognized professional appraiser's organization that is a member of the Appraisal Foundation.
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Ability to travel significantly throughout the region.
