With multiple specialised services, including teams that provide 24/7 responses, Vic SES provides significant contributions and expertise to national and state governing bodies to ensure the safety of all Victorians. About the role As the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), you will lead the organisation with a clear focus on planning, prevention, response, and recovery, ensuring our programs and services align with community needs and our strategic vision. You'll foster relationships that enhance community engagement, positioning Vic SES at the forefront of emergency management through the strength of our dedicated volunteer network. Reporting to the Board and collaborating closely with the Chief Officer Operations—the central figure in emergency command—you'll be accountable for people leadership, cultural development, and continuous operational improvement. With the support of skilled teams, you'll champion the adoption of top-tier systems to deliver a cost-effective, world-class emergency service organisation. About you A credible executive leader with a strong background in the public sector, you bring experience from service-focused, regulated environments. Ideally, you will have operational emergency services or an adjacent sector. Known for your authentic leadership, clear communication, and ability to inspire high performance, you excel in dynamic settings.
