Clinical Neuropsychologist/ Clinical Neuropsychologist Registrar Psychology, Counselling & Social Work (Healthcare & Medical)Government - State (Government & Defence) Full time This is a Recruitment Pool for Permanent Full Time, Permanent Part time, Fixed Term Full Time and Fixed Term Part Time and Casual appointments, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.
Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur across the department at Fiona Stanley and Fremantle Hospitals until 31 July 2025.
About our Department : We are a dynamic, experienced, and dedicated team of Clinical Psychologists and Clinical Neuropsychologists working across multiple campuses within the Fiona Stanley Fremantle Hospitals Group (FSFHG).
We provide tertiary inpatient and outpatient psychological services as part of an integrated multidisciplinary team to medical, surgical, rehabilitation and mental health specialities.
Our team of highly trained and experienced professionals collaborate to deliver comprehensive, targeted, and holistic psychological assessments, formulation and interventions to children, adults and older adults, and their families/carers presenting with complex medical, chronic health, cognitive, rehabilitation and mental health needs.
As part of a multi-disciplinary team of health professionals, we aim to deliver streamlined, high-quality, evidence-informed psychological services to promote engagement with medical treatment, rehabilitation and enhance psychological and mental health well-being.
We provide education and consultation to the wider hospital teams on psychological management of complex presentations.

We are seeking experienced, compassionate, and patient-centered Clinical Neuropsychologist Registrars/ Clinical Neuropsychologists with knowledge and experience in delivering clinical neuropsychology services to patients with complex health, psychological and mental health needs, to join our newly established Fiona Stanley Hospital Cockburn Mental Health facility.
This position will provide services to the following clinical areas: Inpatient eating disorders Inpatient alcohol and other drug detoxification and recovery Reporting to the Head of Department of Clinical Psychology & Neuropsychology, and Senior Clinical Psychologist Coordinator, as the successful candidate you will provide neuropsychological assessment and treatment recommendations relevant to patients within the clinical specialty, as well as consultation and education on neuropsychological matters, to other professionals across the Fiona Stanley Hospital Cockburn Mental Health facility.
In this role you will work within a dynamic and growing Department of Clinical Psychology and Neuropsychology spanning three campuses, Cockburn, Fiona Stanley, and Fremantle Hospitals.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate sound communication and collaboration skills, actively participating in multidisciplinary teams (MDT) to deliver holistic care in collaboration with medical, nursing, and other allied health professionals, and enhance patient outcomes through integration of psychological care into overall treatment plans.
The position will see you act in the capacity of a Clinical Neuropsychologist or Clinical Neuropsychologist Registrar, ensuring practice is in accordance with laws and ethical standards governing psychological practice as per the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA), WA Health Code of Conduct, and SMHS and Departmental values, policies, and guidelines.
As a Clinical Neuropsychologist Registrar (HSO Grade 1) you will be provided with weekly clinical supervision, professional support and access to Registrar Development, Support and Supervision group within the Department to assist you to achieve your competencies and progress to full registration as a psychologist with area of practice endorsement as a Clinical Neuropsychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia.
As a Clinical Neuropsychologist (HSO Grade 2), you will provide clinical supervision to Clinical Neuropsychology Registrars and Trainees, as well as having access to your own clinical supervision within the Department.
Prior health sector experience is preferred but not required.
