About the facility Our major sites include University Hospital Geelong in Geelong's CBD, the Mc Kellar Centre precinct in North Geelong, Barwon Health North in Norlane, and residential aged care facilities spanning the region.
Comprehensive mental health, community health and dental services are delivered through various programs across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac.
About the role The Clinical Products Adviser reports to the Director of Procurement and Supply and is an important part of the Procurement and Supply Team, responsible for providing support and advice on clinical matters to the Procurement team and other stakeholders.
The role will provide clinical advice on product suitability and fit for purpose evaluations and liaise with appropriate clinical experts at Barwon Health to assist with sourcing and purchasing activity.
The CPA ensures clinical integrity within the procurement process through the provision of expert clinical advice and support in the delivery of the Barwon Health Annual Procurement Activity Plan, as well as appropriate engagement with clinical stakeholders.
The CPA is responsible for engaging clinical practitioners to better understand their needs, facilitate product evaluations and support the sourcing process.
The CPA will facilitate product trials and evaluations of new and existing clinical products.
They will support and assist stakeholders and evaluation panel team members within the business to ensure they understand their role and that they conduct evaluations correctly.
This role is responsible for implementing procedures to ensure robust and structured implementation of new clinical products and equipment.
