Security (Information & Communication Technology) Reporting into the Security Operations Leader, the Cloud Security Engineer will join a growing Cyber Security team with the main purpose to develop & maintain security monitoring systems in EA's cloud-based environments.
Develop and maintain a continued service improvement program which ensures security systems are operating and reporting at full potential (Azure environment).
Ensure Energy Australia's cloud environments are designed and deployed to meet EA security policies and industry best practices, and that cloud infrastructure is built to facilitate security monitoring of cloud-based assets.
Continuous improvement - Identify security weaknesses in existing cloud hosted systems and applications and perform risk assessments to define remediation controls.
Research and test new tools and techniques to identify vulnerabilities in the people, processes and technologies that combine to provide EA's cyber detective and protective controls.
Collaborate with Vulnerability Management and the Cyber Risk & Advisory Team to identify & remediate vulnerabilities and risks.
About You: To be successful in the role you'll possess experience in cloud environments and good understanding of cyber security systems, processes, and protocols.
A recognised university degree in engineering, computer science or related fields, or equivalent experience.
Certifications in Azure Sec Engineer & Solutions Architect – all desirable.
Experience designing business applications or security solutions in Azure/AWS that align with cyber security frameworks (NIST, ISO27001 etc).
Minimum 3 years experience in MS Enterprise technologies, Linux & visualization technologies such as VMWare.
