Job Description Lead and manage the procurement of construction projects, ensuring alignment with the strategic goals and objectives.
Develop and implement procurement strategies that deliver value for money, efficiency, and innovation.
Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, from tendering and contract negotiation to supplier management and performance evaluation.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver procurement solutions that meet their needs.
Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, regulations, and best practices in procurement and contract management.
Manage and mitigate risks associated with construction procurement activities.
Provide expert advice and guidance on procurement matters to senior management and project teams.
The Successful Applicant Proven experience in procurement, specifically within the construction industry.
Strong understanding of construction procurement processes, contract law, and risk management.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic procurement plans.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Relevant qualifications in procurement, supply chain management, construction management, or a related field.
Knowledge of public sector procurement regulations and requirements is highly desirable.
