About the opportunity This is a newly created and rewarding opportunity to coordinate a new suicide prevention community awareness campaign for men.
This role will see you play a key role in the development and delivery of this new program from the ground up.
You will apply your stakeholder engagement skills to facilitate conversations within priority reference groups (including, but not limited to, lived experience, First Nations, Rural and Remote, LGBTQIA+) to provide feedback and guidance throughout the development process.
In addition, you'll be working to compile social media campaigns, resources and other media collateral to ensure that key messages are communicated effectively within groups and cohorts in our community.
About the program Stand By operates nationally by partnering with local organisations, engaging their expertise within the community to deliver the most effective and culturally suitable support following a suicide, for each individual circumstance.
Locally tailored community workshops and education programs are provided to increase awareness of suicide and suicide bereavement to help enable communities to support one another.

What do you need? Relevant qualifications or commensurate experience working in a support role for people with mental health challenges (generally a Certificate IV minimum).
Qualifications or extensive experience in Community Development and/or Suicide Prevention.
Current valid Driver's Licence and the ability to undertake some travel.
Evidence of the right to work in Australia.
Evidence of, or a willingness to obtain a National Police Records Check, Working with Children Check relevant to the state you work in, and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate.
