Job Description - Construction Manager (261090) About the role The role of Construction Manager is to undertake responsibility for the planning and delivery of the M&E aspects of construction activities and work collaboratively with other construction disciplines delivering the overall Project while working to achieve client requirements.
Responsibilities Ensure construction activities on Projects to ensure that standards of safety, quality, cost, and schedules are met.
Undertake construction administration and delegate responsibilities as required.
Plan and stage construction works, particularly in the operating railway environment, as well as new works.
Coordinate and monitor construction resource requirements to determine any changes required in employee numbers to achieve present and future project objectives.
About you Degree in a related Engineering discipline or relevant Trade qualification.
Minimum 10 years' experience managing electrical construction activities on project sites within the rail, automotive, military, defense, avionics, or any other safety critical environment.
Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritize demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast-paced environment with multiple and competing demands.
Experience with lump sum contract environment.
M&E experience required.
Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
Strong negotiation, influencing skills and interpersonal skills.
