The Consultant Allergist Immunologist is responsible for conducting outpatient allergy & immunology clinics as well as participating in the on-call roster and other departmental activities.
This will include evaluation, diagnosis, and management of RCH patients with allergic and/or immunologic disorders in accordance with departmental procedures.
This may also involve supervision of paediatric registrars, paediatricians and/or advanced immunology allergy trainees attending clinics.
The Department: The Department of Allergy & Immunology provides secondary and tertiary outpatient and inpatient care for children with allergic and immune disorders.
This includes children with food, drug, insect sting and latex allergy causing moderate to severe allergic reactions (including anaphylaxis), eczema, asthma and hayfever in addition to children with Primary Immune Deficiency and Immunedysregulation.
To be successful in this role: You will possess excellent clinical skills and have interest in teaching, be able to function as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
You must be registered as a specialist medical practitioner with AHPRA and be a Fellow of the RACP.
