Job Description We're looking for an experienced Consumer Editor to join our team on a parental leave contract.
In this role, you'll lead our Advice Content Team at Drive, focusing on delivering high-quality content that resonates with our audience and aligns with automotive trends.
Reporting to the Director of Content, you'll need strong planning and problem-solving skills to meet business objectives in a fast-paced environment.
As a seasoned journalist with a passion for the automotive industry, you'll help maintain our publication's high standards and credibility.
Day to day will include but won't be limited to: Lead a high-performing advice team to deliver quality content on deadline.
Innovate content ideas, balancing breaking news, insights, and trending topics.
Analyse audience data to guide content creation for optimal engagement.
Produce accurate, timely content across various media formats.
Collaborate with in-house and contributor journalists to meet targets.
Provide constructive feedback and guidance to journalists.
Implement SEO strategies to boost content visibility and traffic.
Work with Publishing and Marketing teams to maximise content engagement.
Ensure compliance with legal and ethical journalism standards.
Stay ahead of emerging technologies and trends, including AI.
Continuously update industry knowledge and skills.
Qualifications What we would like to see on your resume: Valid full driver's licence.
Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications or a related field.
Proven experience in journalism with an automotive interest.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent research and fact-checking abilities.
Strong internal and external networking skills.
Proficient with content management systems (CMS).
Solid understanding of SEO best practices.
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
