Contract Coordinator – Waste & Recycling Citywide has an exciting opportunity for a Contract Coordinator to join our prestigious City of Melbourne Waste contract.
Reporting to the Municipal Contracts Manager, you will lead and manage the contract obligations, having a thorough understanding of the contract requirements, services, and compliance.
Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to: Take a lead role in the development of the client relationship ensuring customer satisfaction, contract, and legislative compliance.
Interpret and explain contract requirements, reports, and terms and conditions to stakeholders to support compliance.
Implement relevant procedures and systems and conduct on-site and document-based assessments of service deliveries and performance.
Develop monthly contract reports, annual reports, and annual business plans.
Analyse and report on contract performance and outcomes.
Proactively address potential and actual issues and further continuous improvement initiatives.
Accountable for the safe delivery of the contract, to ensure compliance and contribute towards safety initiatives.
Manage the assigned team to ensure an efficient and effective service is provided to the customer.
Seek opportunities to improve service effectiveness, lower costs, and improve safety.
Review and evaluate contract documentation and information to ensure contract obligations are met and KPIs achieved against the contract.
Further the ongoing innovation and sustainability initiatives in line with the contract.
Contribute to the development and interpretation of annual budgets, identification of capital requirements, and approval of purchases.
Ensure that costs and revenue are managed.
Identify potential variations to scope and provide costings to the client.
Ensure all assets are maintained and utilised in accordance with the fleet scheduling systems and policies.
The successful candidate will possess the following: Experience in Operations and Waste Management (Preferred) Extensive experience in leading and developing a team Experience in preparing operating plans and budgets Proven track record in managing contract schedules Proven ability to deliver results through leadership and building relationships with clients Demonstrated experience in providing estimations/quotations Ability to work to deadlines Proficient in the use of MS Office packages Strong understanding of asset management systems, databases, applications, etc.
