Coordinator Youth Services and Partnerships Footscray, Australia Reference: 6685514 Permanent Full-Time Band 8 ($124,881 - 139,089) + 11.5% super + monthly ADO About Us Maribyrnong City Council is undergoing significant change arising from population growth and redevelopment. A transitioning economy is leading to an influx of new residents, businesses, and employment opportunities that is seeing Maribyrnong fast becoming a sought after residential, recreation and social destination in Melbourne's inner-west. The Opportunity Maribyrnong City Council's Youth Services and Partnerships Unit leads a variety of key programs for young people aged 12-25 years across the municipality in addition to managing the Phoenix Youth Hub as a key activity centre for Youth specific services. The Coordinator Youth Services and Partnerships plays an integral role in planning for the continuum of child, youth, and family services to meet the needs of the community through their various life stages. We are looking for an appropriately qualified and innovative Coordinator Youth Services and Partnerships to lead and manage the strategic and operational service delivery of Maribyrnong Youth Services and the Phoenix Youth Hub. This role will be instrumental in building strong partnerships to plan and develop an integrated, responsive and comprehensive local youth service system for young people in Maribyrnong. Key Responsibilities The Coordinator Youth Services and Partnerships will be responsible for: Planning, co-ordinating and implementing contemporary integrated youth services, programs and initiatives across the municipality. Determining the changing needs of young people in Maribyrnong and identifying opportunities and strategies that respond to changing local needs. Overseeing the activation, operations and promotion of the Phoenix Youth Hub. Working collaboratively across Council to include young people in decision-making and participation throughout the organisation. Building and maintaining strategic partnerships with all tiers of Government and non-government agencies relevant to young people and the youth service sector in the Maribyrnong municipality. About You Relevant tertiary qualifications in youth work, community development, education or related human/social sciences discipline. Strong experience in the operational and strategic leadership of community facing teams. Demonstrated experience in high-level partnership development and achieving positive outcomes through working with external service providers and community based organisations. Demonstrated ability to balance operational service delivery with strategic planning, policy development and project management. Excellent written skills, oral communication, presentation and negotiation skills; and experience in compiling reports/submissions for funds.
