Job Description 0.9 FTE with a Monday afterhours (12pm-8pm) requirement Ongoing Box Hill on the lands of the Wurundjeri People What you'll be doing Based in Box Hill, you will work with the Substance Use Recovery Southern Melbourne (SURe) program to: Provide accessible, high quality, therapeutic AOD counselling and associated health services to the target group; Reduce AOD related harm to individuals and their families to promote recovery; Identify a range of co-occurring mental health, social and primary health issues associated with substance use, and provide integrated and collaborative counselling and support to address these; Deliver a welcoming, hopeful, strength-based, family-inclusive, trauma-informed, recovery-oriented, culturally appropriate, dual diagnosis capable service. Utilising MARAM and trauma informed frameworks to support individuals that are experiencing, and using family violence. Who you'll be working with You'll be working with a dedicated team of professionals within the Substance Use Recovery (SURe) program, passionate about helping people within the community to take further steps towards their recovery. If you'd like more information about the position, take a look at the Position Description or contact Alexandra Mc Nally (Team Leader) at Qualifications Who we're looking for You'll have completed an appropriate tertiary qualification in Mental Health, Social Work, Psychology and/or AOD related field (degree or higher). You will have provided counselling to individuals, families, and groups for both voluntary and mandated clients experiencing co-occurring mental health and substance-use related disorders. A Diploma in AOD, as well as completed (or completing) competencies in AOD will make you a strong candidate. Additional Information Deadline for applications: Sunday 3rd November.
