It provides policy leadership, plans for the future of education in Victoria, and leads key cross-sector collaboration.
The department plays an important system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight, and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres.
About the Division Kindergarten Expansion and Pre-Prep Reform (KEPPR) works collaboratively across the Department and with the early childhood sector to undertake place-based service delivery and monitoring, support the ongoing supply of early childhood teachers and educators, and deliver infrastructure projects to ensure the success of these reforms.
About the Role The Data Analyst will play a key role in delivering system intelligence and supporting data-driven policy solutions for the Best Start Best Life reforms.
This includes research, analysis, generating insights, and contributing to evidence-based decision-making.
The role sits within a high-performing team that embraces a learning mindset and a passion for leveraging data to drive policy reform that improves outcomes for Victorian children.
Key Responsibilities: Analyse and interpret complex data sets to support data-driven decision-making.
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify data needs and requirements.
Present findings clearly to various audiences.
Assist in the development and implementation of data collection processes and requests.
