Let's talk about the role and responsibilities: Data Architecture Development· Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance data architectures that align with business requirements and industry best practices.· Develop and maintain comprehensive data architecture roadmaps that support long-term organizational goals.· Ensure data architecture is aligned with the overall IT architecture and business strategy.
Data Management Frameworks· Establish and maintain data management frameworks that ensure data quality, governance, and compliance with relevant regulations.· Collaborate with data governance teams to implement data stewardship and data governance practices across the organisation.
Data Migration Strategy and Planning· Develop and lead data migration strategies for large-scale data migrations, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.· Work with stakeholders to plan, execute, and monitor data migration projects, ensuring data integrity and security throughout the process.· Assess and mitigate risks associated with data migration activities.
Data Catalogue Solutioning and Implementation· Implement and manage enterprise-wide data catalogue solutions to ensure accurate and accessible metadata management.· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that data assets are catalogued, classified, and easily discoverable by end-users.· Provide training and support for data catalogue users across the organization.
Data Archiving Solutioning· Design and implement effective data archiving solutions that support long-term data retention, compliance, and accessibility requirements.· Ensure that archived data is stored securely and can be retrieved efficiently when needed.· Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure archiving solutions meet regulatory requirements.
Stakeholder Collaboration· Work closely with business units, IT teams, and data governance bodies to ensure data architecture aligns with business needs and priorities.· Provide technical leadership and guidance on data architecture best practices to team members and stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement· Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in data architecture, data management, and related fields.· Identify opportunities to improve existing data architecture and processes, driving innovation and efficiency within the organization.
Develop overall solution design and strategic vision for data and analytics solutions, providing a comprehensive roadmap for clients' needs.
Lead the data strategy and architecture for effective utilization of data as an enterprise asset.
Perform key technical leadership role in the areas of advanced data techniques, including data modelling, data access, data integration, data visualization, data discovery, data lake design and implementation.
Collaborate with various technical stakeholders at client including data architecture team, security team and infrastructure team to define the architecture and technology selection.
Provide support to project manager through developing tasks, estimates, and dependencies to meet client expectations.
Work with various internal and client project's team members including Data architect, developers, and data analysts to assist with technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
Identify market trends in technology and methodologies for building data and analytics solution on various cloud platforms like GCP, AWS and Azure.
Support the business development activities; shape and design solution architectures for a proposal; attending client meetings with the sales team.
Let's talk about your capability and experience: 7+ years of experience in data architecture, data management, or a related field.
Proven experience in developing data architecture roadmaps and implementing data management frameworks.
Strong experience in data migration strategy and planning for large-scale projects.
Experience with data cataloguing and metadata management tools.
Experience in designing and implementing data archiving solutions.
Technical Skills Proficiency in data modelling, database design, and data warehousing concepts.
Strong knowledge of data management and governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK).
Experience with data cataloguing tools (e.g., Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog) and archiving solutions.
Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and data integration tools.
Soft Skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Minimum of one year of experience in architecting data and analytics solutions using cloud-based data components from one of the leading public cloud-based providers and/or Snowflake.
Deep understanding of big data technologies, ETL, EDW, architecture patterns and industry trends.
Experience with data warehousing and data management concepts is mandatory.
Excellent analytical skills and proven track record solving difficult problems.
Certification from one of the leading public cloud-based providers, the Solution Architecture certification being highly desirable.
Ability to articulate/relate complex Technology material to a variety of different types of stakeholders.
Excellent written, social, and communication skills, with a passion for mentoring and knowledge sharing.
Experienced in Agile/Scrum projects, ideally SAFE.
