AGL's Energy Hubs – Analysis unit have a newly created opportunity for a Data Architect & Engineer to sit within our Strategy & Reporting team.
Based in Melbourne, this pivotal role will play a key part in driving the success of AGL's ambitious renewable energy projects, to deliver 5 GW by 2030 and 12 GW by 2035 of new capacity.
By supporting the delivery of our robust project pipeline through data, you will be enabling AGL's leadership to make informed and impactful decisions as we lead the way in Australia's energy transition.

What you'll be doing: Driving the design, development and implementation of a data strategy for the development and emerging technologies pipeline reporting.
Establishing a central database, which will serve as a single source of truth for development and emerging technologies pipeline data.
Managing and maintaining the development pipeline database to enable the efficient distribution of data.
Collaborating with internal and external cross-functional stakeholders.
Gathering and integrating data from various sources (including other databases within AGL's technology landscape).
Using and supporting existing processes to generate accurate and timely reports, while identifying opportunities for enhancement.
What you'll bring: A strong track record in designing and implementing data strategies.
This includes data architecture & design, data warehouse architecture, data structuring, data flow management, data integration, data migration and data quality management.
Demonstrated Project Management experience.
Expert in data analysis languages including Python, SQL and R.
Experience in Cloud environments (e.g.
Microsoft Azure).
Understanding of the National Electricity Market (NEM), greenfield energy asset developments and management reporting experience.
Qualifications: Degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics, IT/Technology, Data Science or other relevant tertiary qualification.
