As a member of broader Data Strategy, Management and Transformation team, you will deliver high-quality information and data management services and support, aligned to EPA's strategic priorities, to prevent harm to Victorian communities and the environment from pollution and waste.
This is an exciting role for an experienced information and data management professional who wants to contribute to the success of the EPA as it enters a new era of environmental protection in Victoria.
You will actively contribute to a positive organisational culture and ensure you achieve the highest standards of performance and integrity; and foster genuine partnerships across all levels of government, industry, and community to support the delivery organisational outcomes.
In this role you will: Act as custodian of the Information Asset Register: engage with stakeholders across EPA to ensure that information assets are registered, reviewed, maintained and disposed of in compliance with Victorian Protective Data Security Standards and Public Record Office Victoria directions.
Maintain the Information Asset Register in Share Point, revising and updating associated guidance and support material at least annually, or more frequently if required.
Work in partnership with Data Governance team to understand Data governance framework and help deploy the framework within the cloud environment including management of data risks and controls.
Support the Records Officer in managing physical records when necessary.
Skills and experience: Knowledge of information and data management concepts with experience in supporting implementation of Information Management and Data Management policies.
Experience in maintaining information governance tools e.g.
an Information Asset Register, Business Classification Scheme etc.
Knowledge of and experience in applying digital records management tools such as Records365 (Record Point).
