The successful candidate will be a strong leader and facilitator, who will also play a role in imagining the future of St Catherine's School.
The Director of Teaching and Learning at St Catherine's School is a key member of the Senior Leadership team, reporting directly to the Principal.
This role is responsible for overseeing and leading the school's teaching and learning strategies, ensuring that high standards are met across all areas.
Working closely with Heads of Faculties, the Director supports the development and implementation of the curriculum, ensuring alignment and continuity across the school.
Additionally, the Director is expected to engage with external educational networks to stay informed about the latest trends and best practices, bringing new ideas and innovations to the school's teaching and learning approach.
The Director will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of our educational philosophy, providing high-quality leadership in pedagogy and actively promoting the continuous growth and achievement of the school.
To be successful in this opportunity you will require: Current VIT Registration.
Postgraduate level qualifications (or currently studying) in Education and/or Education Management (preferred).
Experience in working as part of an educational senior leadership team (preferred).
Demonstrated experience in the development and management of curriculum.
Demonstrated experience and skill in the leadership and management of teams of staff in achieving curriculum outcomes.
Demonstrated innovative practice, lateral thinking, use of initiative, and the ability to anticipate the needs of the School.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills and exceptional capacity to relate to other professionals and work in a variety of team settings.
An interest in current wider curriculum issues and research.
Working knowledge of relevant curriculum frameworks.
