Director, Organisational Enablement Business Management Your Business Unit The Organisational Enablement (OE) Business Unit is responsible for providing high-quality organisational capabilities and services that enable the Agency to focus on investing.
These capabilities are provided by six (6) functions: The Organisational Change Management (OCM) team who are responsible for providing specialist change management knowledge & practices that enable successful organisational change with a focus on material business plan projects.
The OE Business Management (OEBM) team who are responsible for facilitating and enabling strategy and business management capabilities to support the strategic management and efficient operations of the Organisational Enablement Business Unit.
The Procurement team who are responsible for providing high-quality procurement services, keeping the Agency safe and enabling the business to optimise commercial outcomes.
The Project Services (PS) team who are responsible for ensuring that the Agency can deliver against its business plan to achieve strategic & financial objectives.
The Travel team who are responsible for providing high-quality travel-related services to ensure Agency staff can travel safely and effectively.
The Workplace Experience (WPX) team who are responsible for all physical workplace related services including facilities, visitor management, events & functions, accommodation strategy and capital works projects.
The Director, OE Strategy & Business Management role is a leadership role within the OE Business Unit.
This role will lead the OEBM team and be a key member of the OE Leadership team.
Your Role Working to our purpose of providing high-quality organisational capabilities and services that enable the Agency to focus on investing, an exciting opportunity is offered to an experienced professional to lead strategic thinking and business management functions of the Organisational Enablement business unit.
The candidate will be an extremely high performing generalist capable of taking complex, multi-dimensional business problems and co-designing solutions with the business to solve for them.
The role will work across all elements of the strategy management lifecycle from formulation to execution for the OE Business Unit.
The role will drive strategy thinking, business planning and operating model design.
The role will also lead capability enablement and operational business management activities in support of the OE Business Unit.
Working directly with the Head of Organisational Enablement (Ho OE) and the OE Leadership Team (OELT) the role will lead the optimisation and implementation of assurance, oversight, advisory and support capabilities needed to enable robust strategy and ongoing business management.
This will include the annual business planning process, the ongoing management and monitoring of strategy execution and associated activities around change programs, environment analysis and research to understand market trends and best practices in strategy management.
To be successful in this role, the candidate will have: Strategic thought leadership skills and expertise which will be leveraged to work collaboratively with the Head of Organisational Enablement and OE Leadership Team and the broader Agency to develop and implement OE's strategy.
Worked in a similar position in an organisation that is purpose driven, dynamic and innovative.
A highly inquisitive nature, with a strong appetite to learn, explore and imagine the possibilities and pathways to achieve OE's purpose and strategic objectives.
A strong track record of developing and implementing strategy frameworks.
A deep understanding of operating models and the role they play in linking strategy to execution.

A strong appetite to understand current and emerging market trends and developments; and to analyse intelligence on best practices, peer models, benchmarks and other learnings to inform decision making and solution design.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex matters in a clear, simple and logical manner and with impact.
Exceptional people leadership skills with proven development and performance management experience.
The key duties of the position include: Key Responsibilities Strategy Management Operating Model Design Business Management Government Engagement Financial Management Governance and Reporting Workforce Management Engagement and Communications People Leadership Qualifications The successful candidate will be a qualified and experienced professional with at least 5 years' relevant experience in strategy management and business management.
Knowledge and Experience Demonstrated experience at a top tier global consulting firm and/or through performing a similar role at a financial institution.
Highly developed conceptual and abstract reasoning capabilities.
Is passionate and constantly curious about solutioning for complex business problems.
Has worked in evolving and often ambiguous environments requiring flexibility of approach and being adaptable to response to change.
Possess outstanding research and analytical skills with a track record in delivering meaningful insights that enable the creation of fit for purpose and pragmatic solutions.
Has experience and capability to work with a variety of business stakeholders and be able to effectively engage with staff at executive management as well as middle management levels.
Can effectively communicate (verbal and written) business matters, drawing on data and intelligence from multiple sources and converting it into useful information and insights for use by the business.
Experienced with creating and maintaining frameworks, methodologies and tools underpinning strategy management, business planning and operating model management.
Experience gained from working overseas is highly regarded.
