Director, School Asset Management Support Reporting to the Executive Director, Asset Management Division, the role requires working closely and collaboratively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including school and sector stakeholders, the Department and regional leadership teams, and other key government departments.
This role has a strong focus on customer relations, budget management, contract management, and business improvement.

About the Victorian School Building Authority The Victorian School Building Authority (VSBA) is part of the Department of Education.
Established in 2016, it oversees Victoria's largest school building program since the state introduced free public education in the 1870s.
The VSBA upgrades and expands existing schools and plans, designs, and builds new schools to meet enrolment demand.
We also support schools to maintain their buildings and grounds by offering expert advice and coordinating maintenance programs and grants.
With Victoria recently introducing two years of funded kindergarten, the VSBA is also working with the early childhood sector on a massive kindergarten construction program.

About the Division The Asset Management Division supports the effective management of school assets through condition assessments, tools for school maintenance planning, providing training and advice to school leaders, supporting asset information systems, delivering centralised programs for high-risk areas, implementing reform projects to strengthen the system, and implementing initiatives to improve the environmental sustainability of schools.
About the Role This role has the following accountabilities: Leading a branch of the Division, ensuring exemplary leadership and people management.
Managing programs within budget and ensuring policy and program settings are right to achieve the organisation's objectives and leading change processes where needed.
Leading the delivery of three key programs: - Small Schools Program- Asset Information Management System- Technical Leadership Coaches Managing internal and external stakeholder relationships, particularly in relation to schools and other areas of the Department.
Ensuring robust governance, financial, and risk management for areas of responsibility.
As an executive member of the VSBA, participate effectively in the development of major resourcing policies and corporate strategies, and disseminate and implement decisions appropriately.
Provide authoritative specialist advice and service support to the Executive Director, Ministers, the Deputy Secretary, and CEO of the VSBA.
