THE ROLE The Director, Transactions leads a collaborative and innovative team responsible for transaction management activities and project approvals to ensure successful delivery of large-scale redevelopments as part of the High-rise Redevelopment Program, Australia's largest urban renewal project.
The Director, Transactions coordinates multi-disciplinary teams and directs a range of market interactions with developers, investors and project sponsors to drive commercially viable and high-quality outcomes for Government.
This requires relevant experience and a deep understanding of both the public and private sectors in terms of project delivery coupled with a track record of innovation within a public sector environment to be able to attract market participation and secure the necessary approvals for projects within the Program.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE Design and implement interactive tendering processes in accordance with the agreed probity and process frameworks, High Value High Risk (HVHR) guidelines and Partnerships Victoria guidelines (where relevant).
Oversee and coordinate the development of the tender documentation (expressions of interest through to request for proposals), Public Sector Comparators, land & lease valuation process, market engagement, interactive tendering processes, tender evaluations, and contract & financial close process in accordance with government timelines.
Successfully engage and negotiate with government stakeholders, institutional investors in property development, GLM-PPP sponsors, developers, builders, community housing agencies and other key industry players.
