Disability Support Worker - Permanent Part-Time - Waverley Job no: 494493 Work type: Permanent Location: Inner East Region - Melbourne Categories: Disability Support: Residential Services (In home care) We are looking for energetic and experienced disability support workers who take a person-centered approach when supporting people with disability.
In this role, you will be providing active support to clients within their home and their community to develop skills, independence, and friendships.
The clients at Waverley enjoy participating in a range of day-to-day activities such as swimming, shopping, cooking, and enjoying the outdoors.
This is a lively, active, and very social home.
This is a deafblind service, so any skills in Auslan are highly desirable to support our clients to communicate their wants and needs.

Skills and experience required to be successful in this role: The roster includes a range of shifts, including mornings, evenings, and active nights.

Intermediate computer skills (ie: using Microsoft Outlook, documentation in a client management tool/CRM, Carelink +) Right to work in Australia NDIS Workers Screening Check / willingness to obtain Valid First Aid & CPR Auslan skills, or a willingness to learn.
Highly regarded and desirable: A relevant qualification in Disability, Individual Support, Allied Health, Mental Health or working towards it.
