We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to become the Program Coordinator at the Office of Deaf and Hard of Hearing (ODHH) within the Aging and Long-Term Support Administration (ALTSA).
ODHH is implementing a special interest workgroup to address the state's sign language interpreter shortage.
Due to the different layers of complexity for the interpreter shortage, this group is focused on identifying solutions within the private sector and the public sector partners.
The solutions identified during the workgroup study will be used to share information with the public on what can be implemented with funding.
In this role, you will work closely with the Office of Deaf and Hard of Hearing, the Deaf/Deafblind/Hard of hearing community, sign language interpreters, and contracted project managers.
You will be responsible for the logistical operations and support ODHH staff in leading the workgroup.
Your role involves coordinating meetings, verifying travel accommodations, confirming appropriate sign language interpreters when necessary, sending reminders to group participants, and monitoring program activities.
The ideal applicant will work closely with the project manager to ensure program goals are met effectively and efficiently.
Some of what you will do: Coordinate accessibility logistics for workgroup members.
Communicate with workgroup members and other community members on project deliverables.
Maintain records from workgroup meetings and compile information for reporting.
Verify travel invoices for in-person meetings.
Manage the media production of the ASL version of the final report to be disseminated to the public, including monthly progress reports to community partners in English and ASL.
Monitor budget status in relation to program activities, maintaining accurate program budgets and financial transactions.
Conduct public presentations on program specialty topics as required.

Skills and abilities: ASL Fluency Familiarity with, and ability to use the following: Microsoft Office (including Word, Outlook, Power Point, Publisher, and Excel) Working knowledge of Voice Telephone or Video Relay Services, Captel, TTY, Videophone, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams virtual meeting software, general office equipment, and assistive technology used by people with disabilities.
Working knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Workforce Investment Opportunity Act (WIOA) Proficient in collaborating across a diverse spectrum of clientele, groups, organizations, and professionals.
Experience in media production and dissemination is a plus.
