About the Role: Provide educational leadership to staff and students across the Electrical department programs and support the operational activities for the delivery lifecycle including quality assurance, student and staff issues, student progress, staff and student recruitment, teacher management, and program financial management.
Duties: Coordinate courses relevant to the department as delegated by the Manager.
Ensure all training and assessment being delivered is aligned to the relevant Training & Assessment Strategy (TAS).
Provide educational leadership at a high level for staff and students within the program/s on educational-related matters to develop a high-performing and engaged team.
Identify staffing needs as required in conjunction with the Manager.
Recruit, induct, and oversee new teaching staff into Melbourne Polytechnic's way of working.
Roster and allocate duties and teaching rosters fairly across the department and manage teacher absences.
A degree or Diploma relevant to courses offered with the department.
TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE 40110) including Design and Develop Assessment Tools (TAEASS502) and Address Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) skills (TAELLN411) or (TAELLN401 A).
Completion of a course of teacher training accredited at diploma level which includes supervised teaching practice in an adult learning environment and studies in adult teaching methodology (Australian Qualification Framework Level 6).
5 years' experience working within the relevant industry.
