The SOE Specialist will be responsible for the development, implementation, and management of a new Windows 11 Standard Operating Environment (SOE) for a fleet of devices to be rolled out mid-2025.
This role requires a comprehensive understanding of Windows operating systems, device management, and deployment strategies to ensure a seamless and efficient rollout, while also creating documentation and ensuring guides/training are available for continued support after implementation.
Duties Develop and configure the Windows 11 SOE to meet organizational requirements and standards.
Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to ensure the SOE aligns with business needs and IT policies.
Document SOE configurations, changes, and deployment processes in detail.
Create documentation for the customer base as required.
Create guides and training materials for IT Support.
Lead the testing of Court & Tribunal applications on Windows 11.
Lead the testing and deployment of the SOE across the new fleet of devices.
Provide technical support and guidance during the SOE deployment phase.
Qualifications and Experience Proven experience in developing and deploying SOEs with Windows operating systems.
Strong knowledge of device management and deployment solutions.
Intune experience during rollouts and ongoing support.
Windows Auto-Pilot configuration, support, and implementation.
Experience in Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM)/Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Selection Criteria Demonstrated ability to develop, manage and deploy SOE configurations.
Proficiency in applying best practices for device management and security.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to document processes and provide specialized training to customers and support teams.
Relevant certifications in Windows operating systems (Windows 10 & 11 preferred) and deployment technologies.
