Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and experienced English Teacher to inspire and engage students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5).
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in English literature and language, with a track record of motivating students to achieve their best.
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons, developing a love for reading and writing, and supporting students' growth both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging English lessons that meet national curriculum standards.
Teach English to students of varying abilities, providing differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
Assess and monitor student progress, offering constructive feedback to help them improve.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and a love for English.
Prepare students for GCSE (and potentially A-Level) exams, focusing on both content and exam technique.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share best practices in teaching and assessment.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to support student success.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
Strong knowledge of the English National Curriculum and assessment methods.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
A passion for literature, language, and student success.
