About the Role Playing an integral role within Spence Doors Group, the Estimating Team Leader will report directly to the National Sales and Marketing Manager. This role is based in Cheltenham, Melbourne and is well supported by a high-performing team of Estimators and Sales professionals and will require you to focus on understanding the customer needs, quoting, and collaboratively closing the sale. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will need to interpret architectural plans and liaise with both existing and prospective customers to provide quality advice that facilitates the sale and repeat business. Major responsibilities include but are not limited to: Lead the national team of estimators to ensure excellence in work output Proactively sourcing new customers and new projects to quote. Actioning inbound leads, customer RFI and RFQ's without letting any major opportunities fall through the cracks. Contributing to achieving sales target by working with the Sales Team to meticulously following up quotes and close sales. Qualifying leads. Maintaining a close, regular & professional working relationship with existing & prospective customers to maximise ASSA ABLOY Door Group market share. Delivering excellence in customer service. Keeping CRM up to date. Providing activity reports the Sales Manager and Business Unit Managers. Attending Sales Meetings, Training Sessions and other industry events as required. About you To be effective in this role, you must have some technical aptitude (you can read plans and understand how things come together) particularly in the construction environment. We are also seeking a real go-getter. Someone with energy, passion and experience in solution-based selling. Someone that is proactive and confident to speak to customers in a B2 B environment. You must have a positive outlook, be enthusiastic and energetic. You must be geared to find solutions for customers and add value to the selling process. In addition, to be considered for this role you must have the following: 5 years+ of leadership and estimating experience Understanding of construction materials, preferably in respect to the supply of frames – pressed metal, timber jambs, cavity sliding. Doors – Timber, fire rated, acoustic etc. Ability to understand and determine information from plans, specifications, and schedules. Customer service oriented Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) to confidently communicate with management, clients, specifiers, and subcontractors. Strong attention to detail. Sound skills in the use of windows suite of tools. Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities. Excellent planning, time management and prioritisation skills.
