Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for developing menu items, collaborating with the manager to manage costs and expenses, and ensuring the highest quality of food preparation.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement new menu items, working closely with the manager to manage costs and expenses.Prepare, cook, and present food to the highest standards, adhering to set menus.Create and manage menus, developing new dishes and recipes.Supervise kitchen personnel, coordinating efforts to meet restaurant needs.Conduct inventory checks and place supply orders as needed.Estimate restaurant expenses, encompassing food, labor, and miscellaneous items.Provide guidance and training to junior staff when necessary.Oversee food preparation to maintain consistently high standards.Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and update policies regularly as needed.Requirements: Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.At least 1 year of experience in a similar role.Australian Citizenship, Permanent Residency, or proper working rights in Australia.Work Environment: Full-time, Permanent position. Salary: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year. In-person work location.
