This pivotal role is responsible for the delivery of strategic advice on people and culture and high quality and effective HR services to Victoria's courts and tribunals, VCAT, the Judicial College, the Judicial Commission and CSV. About Us Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission. About the role As Executive Director, People Services, you will report to the Deputy CEO of CSV and play a critical role in the senior executive leadership team. You will lead a highly collaborative branch, setting the strategic direction and operational delivery of innovative HR services that support excellence in workforce management across the Victorian justice system. Your leadership will champion the values of integrity, respect, collaboration, and continuous improvement while driving key HR areas such as Workplace Relations, Health, Safety and Wellbeing, Organisational Development, Talent Acquisition, People Advisory, Executive and Judicial Services, People Partnering and People Systems and Payroll. Key responsibilities Provide strategic leadership and build a positive, high-performing culture within People Services, aligned with public sector values. Deliver expert HR advice and services across a broad spectrum. Lead a multidisciplinary team and foster innovation and continuous improvement to enhance operational efficiency and service excellence. Partner with senior stakeholders, including CSV's CEO, to ensure alignment with organisational goals and champion CSV's strategic objectives. Develop policies that promote psychological safety and wellbeing, reinforcing CSV's commitment to a safe and inclusive workplace. Cultivate strategic partnerships across government and industry to stay at the forefront of emerging HR trends and best practices. Who we're looking for We seek an experienced HR executive with a demonstrated ability to lead in a complex, authorising environment. You will have a track record of success in delivering HR services that drive organisational change and performance while building diverse, inclusive, and resilient teams. Key selection criteria Extensive experience in HR leadership, with a focus on strategic HR management, workforce planning, and stakeholder engagement. Proven ability to manage complex, multifaceted teams and drive organizational change in a large-scale setting. Strong understanding of HR trends, governance, and compliance, with experience in delivering shared services across diverse organisational structures. Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage and inspire stakeholders at all levels. Relevant experience in courts or tribunals is highly regarded. Postgraduate qualifications in HR or a related field are highly desirable.
