Job Ref: 24-HERDIV-25988 Salary: $138,897 - $164,446 Location: Woden, ACT, Brisbane, QLD, Melbourne, VIC, Surry Hills, NSW The EL2 Clinical Trials Specialist role will be primarily focused on oversight and guidance principles of clinical trials, from the delivery of revolutionary drugs to the assessment of medical devices, with a thorough understanding of the management of clinical trials from start-up through to close out, in the context of the NOSS (National One Stop Shop) acceptable practices.
The EL2 Clinical Trials Specialist will work with the leadership team to facilitate the Department's strategic preparedness for delivery of the NOSS Program.
The program includes, but is not limited to, the delivery of the NOSS Platform, leading the implementation of the National Clinical Trials Governance Framework, the development of the quality standard and accreditation scheme for human research ethics committees, and the revision of the National Clinical Trials and Tele-trials compendium.
The role involves extensive knowledge and demonstrates achievement in establishing and/or managing a project in a large government organisation and driving high-profile or significant change management activities.
The role requires the ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a changing environment and significant and high-level liaison with external stakeholders, along with leadership of staff.
This role involves significant policy development, implementation, stakeholder engagement and management.
In addition to upholding the APS values and code of conduct, the EL2 Clinical Trials Specialist role must abide by all WHS guidelines, follow security 'need to know principles', and show integrity when overseeing sensitive and privileged information.
