Family Services Practitioner

Location Mildura EFT 60 hours per fortnight, maximum term until 30 June 2025 About the role Working as a Family Services Practitioner you will engage with children, young people and parents/caregivers in a child focused, empowering and meaningful way.
Using a Relational Approach practitioners work with families to Connect; Understand; Link-Up; Build and Empower; and Create Opportunities and will work closely with other stakeholders and professionals.
Specifically, the position is responsible for: Using a Care Team Approach, coordinating, facilitating and delivering a rapid, culturally safe, flexible and intensive service to children and their families.
Developing goals, action plans and safety plans with families through direct work with individuals and groups as appropriate Working closely with the service sector, in particular Community Based Child Protection and the Child Protection program more broadly Conducting assessments in accordance with guidelines and within specified timelines.
To be considered for this position, applicants require: Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Welfare or other relevant tertiary study.
Demonstrated experience in case management working with vulnerable children and their families.
Demonstrated experience working in or with Department of Families, Fairness and Housing Child Protection (or similar) highly desirable.
