About the Role There is an opportunity for an experienced administrator to join the Monash Health FASD Service and contribute to the establishment of the exciting new FASDConnect program.
This is a part-time, 2 year fixed term grand funded position.
About the Monash Health Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) Service and FASDConnect The Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) Service, through Developmental Paediatrics, provides specialist multidisciplinary assessments for children with pre-natal alcohol exposure, who show complex neurological, developmental, and behavioural symptoms.
The service also delivers education, information and resources to communities at high risk of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD), and provides clinical training in FASD diagnosis for paediatricians, psychologists, speech pathologists, occupational therapists and social workers.
The FASD Services at Monash Children's comprises pathways for children 0-3 yrs through the Jacana Clinic, and 3-10 years through Vic FAS.
FASDConnect is a new partnership between the Monash Health FASD Service and the Victorian Department of Health, aimed at supporting the Targeted Support for Children in Out of Home Care project.
FASDConnect aims to: increase early identification and diagnosis of children and young people with FASD in the Out of Home Care system through education of its staff build capacity of the health system to identify, diagnose and respond to Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder increase awareness and skills in the child protection workforce to collect and document information about prenatal alcohol exposure to support diagnosis intersect with the established Monash Health FASD Services.
The Monash Health FASD Service is supported by the Developmental Paediatrics team at Monash Children's Hospital.
About You To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge: Skills in managing a diverse health practice – including demonstrated experience delivering effective governance and financial management Strong team leadership skills including leading a geographically dispersed and part time team Experience delivering projects with key stakeholders with competing priorities Strong experience facilitating teams to deliver operational outcomes Highly developed communication skills including demonstrated effectiveness communicating at all levels of an organisation Strong skills in all aspects of management including ensuring efficient and effective processes for operations, planning, budgeting, recruitment, team scheduling, travel management and telehealth administration What you need: Relevant undergraduate tertiary qualification in business, operations management or a health-related discipline.
Postgraduate tertiary qualification is desirable.
Demonstrated experience as indicated in the position description Current Victorian Driver's Licence.
