FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT | MELBOURNE CBD Contract: 6 weeks Pay: $58.41p/h + super Location: Melbourne CBDWork Model: Hybrid (2 days in office, 3 days WFH)Role Overview: Join a team of 9 Financial Accountants within a 27-person Finance team within the Victorian state government.
The role focuses on month-end and year-end processing and reconciliation tasks to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct insightful month-to-month financial analysis Manage reconciliation processes and complex expenditure items Contribute to month-end processes and activities Assist with tax compliance (BAS, Payroll Tax, FBT) Support cash forecasting and annual financial statement preparation Respond to audit queries and assist with external reporting Administer purchase card and cab charge systems Assist with procurement activities and purchase order management Stakeholder management Undertake additional finance duties and projects as directed Requirements: Experience with Oracle essential CA/CPA qualification (preferred) Excellent communication skills Strong resilience and lateral thinking abilities Proficiency in month-end and year-end financial processes Ability to quickly adapt to new systems and processes To apply, please submit your resume and a brief cover letter highlighting your relevant experience.
