About the role As a Finance Analyst you will support the annual budgeting, forecasting and monthly internal Financial Reporting and Analysis for Austin Health.
A regular day will see you: Prepare and manage month end reports for the Finance Business Partnering team and the Financial Planning and Analysis team.
Standardise and maintain reporting and costing templates.
Prepare analysis on monthly and year-to-date financial results against budget and forecast.
Support the continuous improvement of organisational processes, procedures, systems and reporting.
Support the coordinated end-to-end budget process.
Support the month end reporting process.
Support the annual budget and forecast processes including development and maintenance of databases.
Provide ad hoc financial analysis to support efficient utilisation of resources.
About you To be successful in this role you'll bring with you: Qualified accountant (either a member of CA, CPA or equivalent) Relevant tertiary qualifications in commerce, business, accounting, economics, law, administration, finance or a similar area.
Strong analytical skills, with an ability to identify trends, issues and opportunities.
High quality skills in managing a customer service role in providing budget advice and financial management services.
Demonstrated highly developed interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills.
Demonstrated initiative and the ability to develop innovative solutions to problems.
Experience and proficiency in Excel and other computer skills.
