Update your details, view your application and progress Login Job no: 494891 Work type: Full time Location: Melbourne - CBD & Inner Suburbs Categories: Accounting & Finance Group Finance Controller – 2 IC to CFO Lead the group Finance team – 4 direct reports About the Role The primary purpose of the Group Finance Controller is to provide effective leadership and guidance in managing the Finance function and Shared Services function to deliver outstanding customer service.
You will be accountable for all financial and accounting matters including compliance with all statutory and tax obligations.
This role has four direct reports and approximately 15 indirect reports.
The company's annual turnover is approximately $350m.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Lead discussions with the Leadership Team regarding budgets, forecasting and variance/trend analysis commentary through cost review meetings; Drive delivery of annual budgeting and rolling annual forecasting process and deliver results.
Ensure key inputs are delivered on time and backed by supportable assumptions and plans; Preparation of the monthly CFO Report including consolidated profit and loss, balance sheet, cashflow and analysis of results and other Shareholder Reports; Manage the mid-month forecast process and report to various stakeholders including follow up to the Executive Operations (for the Group); Effectively manage Working Capital requirement, in particular Accrued Income and Trade Debtors; Manage the preparation of the annual financial report; Manage the Payroll Team and ensure compliance with relevant payroll legislation; Guide the Leadership Team with capital expenditure request proposals to ensure they are appropriately supported by project financial analysis; Identify and implement measures to improve business systems and processes to drive efficiencies and reduce costs across the business; Ensure all business metrics and targets are known, understood and where appropriate communicated to others in order to achieve budget targets.
