About this Position
Reporting to the CFO, the Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing the financial health of the organisation, ensuring compliance with statutory accounting and government regulations and reporting requirements and supporting strategic decision making.
This is a hands-on role with leadership responsibility. The Financial Controller leads and engages the team, ensuring a high-performance work environment that delivers efficient and service-focused outcomes to all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with the Chief Financial Officer to introduce, maintain and control a scalable financial management system and controls.
Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll.
Manage the half-year and full-year audit process, relationship with auditors and assist with reporting to the Audit Committee.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls related to financial reporting and disclosure in the jurisdictions Acusensus operates (Australia, UK and US).
Oversee tax compliance and planning across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring timely filings and optimal tax strategies.
Coordinate and lead the month-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of financial records.
Provide financial management reporting, analysis and guidance to support the executive team and Board.
Assist in process improvement and systems enhancement initiatives.

We Would Love You To Have:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
CA, CPA or other relevant professional certifications are highly desirable.
Minimum of 7+ years experience with audit and ASX listed company background.
Management and leadership experience.
Strong knowledge of accounting standards, particularly those associated with technology and manufacturing companies.
Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as Netsuite, Excel, and financial reporting platforms.
Proven track record of driving process improvements, implementing best practices, and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
