About the position CSL Australia is currently looking for a permanent full-time First Engineer to join our cement carrier Goliath on a roster schedule of 6 weeks on and 6 weeks off.
This operation is based in the Bass Strait.
The role of a First Engineer is to be the Chief Engineer's Deputy while ensuring machinery and equipment operate to the highest standards.
In addition, the First Engineer will be responsible for: Assisting the Chief Engineer in identifying deficiencies in procedures; Suggesting improvements to the system; Allocating tasks to the engineer officers; Compiling the list of maintenance and repairs required; Providing guidance and assistance to less experienced Engineers; Coordinating the Engine Room training program for new entrants and Engineer Cadets; Any other duties as required.
About you Educational requirement: As per AMSA Marine Order 72 (mandatory) Technical requirements: at least 12 months of holding AMSA Engineer Class 2 COC or Co R (required) MSIC Card (required or ability to obtain) Working Safely at Heights (required or ability to obtain) Enter and Work in a Confined Workspace certification (required or ability to obtain) Current AMSA Medical (required or ability to obtain) If this sounds like the role for you, we would love to hear from you!
