An opportunity currently exists for a General Manager – Business Development for both ACSPS and ACSI acting as the first line of contact to source new relationships with clients and key decision makers to develop business opportunities for services to meet sales targets. The incumbent will identify sales leads, pitch our value proposition to new clients within the Education, Tertiary and Commercial Real-estate Sectors. Your Role: Reporting to the CEO your duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Extensive expertise and a demonstrated history of success in strategic selling, develop and maintain positive client relationships. Maintain and oversee the pipeline using a CRM system. Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business. Plan approaches and pitches. Build relationships with new clients. Present new services and enhance existing relationships. Forecast sales targets and ensure they are met. Track and record activity on accounts and close deals to meet these targets. Delivering sales revenue to the business at the agreed minimum gross margin required. Identifying opportunities for business improvement and strategic new business opportunities. Responsible for end to end sales cycle including bid management, tender writing, estimating and liaising with marketing for sales campaigns. To conduct site inspections and attend tender briefings. Identify, present and negotiate contract for cleaning services. Assist and advise Operations with new contract transition and ongoing contract retention. Ensure all tenders, proposals and sales documentation are prepared in a professional and timely manner. Monitor customer service management to ensure professional representation by company staff. Prepare and submit monthly Sales/KPI reports to CEO. Skills and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Business Management or equivalent is preferable.5+ years industry experience in soft services is required. Displays proficient negotiation skills and stakeholder management. Displays commercial nous and aptitude for dealing with general business and financial matters. Has the ability to look and analyse issues from both the client and business perspective. Ability to communicate with others in a convincing influential way. Ability to apply active listening and paraphrasing skills to confirm understanding of the problem. Can demonstrate and is capable of leading & managing a team. Strong financial acumen and analytical skills, with high proficiency in Microsoft applications, particularly Excel. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in preparing reports and presentations. Strategic thinking and identifies opportunities.
