We currently have an opportunity for an experiencedGeneral Manager of Financeto drive growth, and support the end-to-end management of our groups finance function. More about the Role Reporting to the CFO, this role will have visibility across the business with focus on providing leadership and direction to the Commercial Manager, Accounting Manager and to our Finance Business Partner, and their teams. TheGeneral Manager of Financeis a hands-on role that will take ownership of several key areas of finance, including but not limited to: Oversight and management of monthly financial reporting including group reporting processes and monthly deadlines. Year-end statutory reporting including liaising with external accountants and advisors. Process improvement initiatives and implementation of financial control strategies to support business growth. Support the FP&A team with budgeting, forecasting and other ad hoc projects. Ensure all financial controls are operating efficiently and effectively. Manage project work across the finance function, process improvement, and change programs by engaging teams and ensuring project outcomes. More about you We are looking for a passionate and collaborative leader to join our Executive team to develop the Finance roadmap and strategic vision across our business. Ideally you will come from a retail (or multi-site) or FMCG environment with experience managing large teams. You will be CA or CPA qualified with a self-starter mindset. You are a natural communicator with a well hone ability to engage and influence internal and external stakeholders at all levels. You are a passionate people leader, with proven ability to contribute positively to a team environment and build strong working relationships across all levels of an organisation. You have excellent analytical decision-making and problem-solving skills. Advanced knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards working towards best practice at all times. You love what you do! You are highly motivated, well-organised and have a proactive approach. You have an impressive track record of leading and initiating large-scale projects with a success story to share. You have a good understanding of the procurement and merchandise processes. Have 7+ years' experience practical accounting experience in the delivery of month-end and Board-related reporting. As a General Manager you ensure that your team is supported to meet strategic objectives within functional areas, including the provision of feedback, budget, and resources. Evaluate and coach your team to ensure capability needs are met, including retention and development of high performers.
