CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER – YARRAWONGA MULWALA TOURISM AND BUSINESS The aim of Yarrawonga Mulwala Tourism and Business is to maintain and grow the Yarrawonga – Mulwala region as a premier tourism destination to ensure a sustainable and well-supported economy. The CEO of Yarrawonga Mulwala Tourism and Business (YMTB) is the senior executive role that requires highly evolved management and stakeholder engagement skills and is responsible for the strategic, operational, marketing, and financial management of YMTB. The CEO will lead and manage YMTB's business operations in alignment with the strategic objectives set by the board, ensuring the growth and promotion of the Yarrawonga - Mulwala region as a premier tourism destination. Responsibilities include: Governance & Sustainability – Ensuring sound policy and procedure is in place for all operations, developing and building new revenue streams, meeting KPIs and strategic alignment, acquiring and maintaining adequate human resource levels, product development, managing day-to-day operations, fostering a culture of safety, respect, and innovation, and ensuring effective management of risks. Visitor Services – Developing and managing the Yarrawonga Mulwala Visitor Centre's Operational Plan, exploring alternate business models, and maintaining an ambassador program. Community Engagement & Capacity Building – Ensuring membership satisfaction, strengthening relationships with industry partners, increasing stakeholder partnerships, and providing guidance and support to the industry. Events Attraction – Encouraging collaboration to establish a detailed calendar of events, ensuring sustainability and profitability of events, and developing a 3-Year Events Management Strategy. Brand & Destination Marketing – Effective and efficient destination marketing, reviewing current branding, and developing a 3-Year Destination Marketing Plan. To be considered for this role, you must have senior operational management experience, strong leadership skills, and a proven ability to guide organizations through growth and change. Building credibility and fostering relationships with diverse stakeholders is essential, alongside political maturity and resilience. Experience in tourism management within a membership-based organization is advantageous. You should possess a strong track record in organizational management, team building, and financial acumen, with the ability to develop and implement strategic plans aligned with organizational goals. Your financial management skills should ensure stability through effective budgeting and resource allocation. With expertise in destination branding and marketing, you should have successfully led initiatives that enhance visibility and stimulate economic growth. Your exceptional stakeholder engagement skills will allow you to maintain strong relationships with government bodies, industry partners, and community organizations.
