This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and experienced General Manager, People & Culture to join a dynamic and supportive leadership team.
About the Role:
As the General Manager - People & Culture, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving the people and culture strategy across the organisation. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you will be responsible for leading a dedicated People & Culture team of 10 staff, ensuring alignment with the organisation's vision, purpose, and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as a strategic partner to the Executive team, providing expert advice, coaching, and guidance on all HR-related matters.
Develop and execute people and culture initiatives that enhance staff attraction, engagement, and retention, while fostering a high-performance, learning-centric culture.
Lead the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures in line with business objectives, legislative requirements, and contemporary HR practices.
Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO, Executive team, and Board of Directors on organisational structure, resource planning, and best practices in people management.
Oversee talent management programs, succession planning, and leadership development to cultivate a strong pipeline of talent within the organisation.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure effective enterprise agreement negotiations and implementation, representing the organisation in various committees.
Champion a positive, inclusive, and high-engagement workplace culture by motivating and empowering staff at all levels.
About You:
You are an outstanding leader with a proven track record of motivating teams and senior leadership to achieve organisational goals. You excel in strategic thinking, have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and possess the ability to make informed decisions based on a blend of evidence, experience, and intuition.
Your Skills & Experience:
Prior experience in a similar role at the General Manager or Senior Leadership level.
Exceptional leadership and management capabilities, with a focus on developing and executing strategic action plans.
Leading or being part of the strategic crafting of a major business transformation.
Strong negotiation, influencing, and relationship-building skills to effectively manage complex HR issues and drive sustainable outcomes.
Expertise in HR functions, including workforce planning, employee engagement, employee relations, recruitment, retention, and organisational development.
Familiarity with change management methodologies and the ability to lead and support organisational change initiatives.
High-level communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organisation.
Commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for advocating on behalf of the workforce.
