Job highlights
Provide clinical assessment and treatment as a key member of the multidisciplinary team.
Provide secondary consultation, guidance and advice to a range of other health care professionals and settings.
Actively participate in the development and promotion of quality improvement activities.
Participate in the education and supervision of junior medical colleagues (including medical students and psychiatric registrars in training).
Your new mental health service.
Acute inpatient unit of 15 beds, including 3-4 high dependency.
Extended Care inpatient unit of 5 beds.
Prevention and recovery centre of 13 beds.
4 community based units including an adult Continuing Care (Recovery and Wellness across four sites).
Access mental health team.
Old age community service.

What you'll need to succeed.
FRANZCP or equivalent qualifications in older person psychiatry.
Excellent teamwork, collaborative and communication capabilities.
Clinical experience relevant to the practice of older age psychiatry.
Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
Commitment to teaching, continuing education, and research.
Ability to provide supervision to clinical staff and participate in internal education programs.
Willingness and ability to undertake continuous quality improvement projects.
Willingness to be on the on-call roster.
