General/Business Unit Manager (CEO & General Management) Full time The Company This iconic Australian company seeks a sales leader to lead the ANZ sales functions for the business, developing and executing the long-term growth strategy.
As part of the executive leadership team, this critical role requires a professional with significant leadership experience, a high level of commercial acumen and a process-led approach to deliver sales across all channels and adapt to evolving market trends.
The Role Lead and manage the commercial function across automotive aftermarket and OE channels, building a collaborative approach with the functional leaders, drawing on their knowledge and expertise to develop strategy, systems and processes.
Work closely with each department to gain critical intel and analyse information to develop a growth focused sales plan in line with the strategic plans.
Work alongside the executive team to align the commercial strategy with the broader business strategy, identifying market and product opportunities to drive revenue growth.
Identify and develop business initiatives in sales and product across wider areas to support the current and future business growth with a customer centric lens.
Develop, guide, coach and drive high performing sales teams with key metrics measuring performance.
Develop, manage and communicate revenue budgets and targets and drive your teams to achieve them.
Work with marketing and product teams to implement go-to-market plans where new products and brands are approved and ultimately introduced, managing pricing and margin requirements for commercial outcomes.
Design, manage and deliver the business' product cycle plan across brand portfolio.
Provide forecasting, oversee and report account activities, analyse competitors and keep the business informed.
Your Background Tertiary qualified with experience developing and driving strategy.
Strong engaging customer approach.
We are looking for an outgoing driver in personality that is still humble in their approach.
Clear track history of success driving sales teams to meet and exceed sales targets.
Extensive experience leading a commercial multi-disciplined team across B2 B channels using a customer centric approach.
B2 C also helpful.
Strong understanding of business operations including sales, product, and key account management.
Automotive, hardware, industrial, electrical; lighting industry or experience within an industrial consumer product environment considered advantageous.
Retail sales experience advantageous.
Superb communication and consultation skills with an ability to engage and influence internal stakeholders including your peers at the executive level.
Understand importance of building relationships with employees at all levels.
Senior leadership background, able to think strategically and deliver through people and process.
Commercially astute, must be able to understand financial reports, manage a budget and make commercial decisions.
Collaborative in style, inclusive in making decisions.
Strong presence and professional in presentation.
Able to gain attention quickly and be recognised as a strong leader in the business.
Must be able to adapt style depending on the audience and be hands on when required.
