About the Role An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated Grade 2 Registered Nurse with experience in orthopaedic nursing to become part of our dynamic team on a part-time fixed-term basis.
The Grade 2 Registered Nurse, under the guidance of the Nurse Unit Manager or Associate Nurse Unit Manager, will be responsible for the delivery of expert clinical care in his/her specific area.
The Grade 2 Registered Nurse will be responsible for ensuring his/her own professional development in order to maintain clinical skills and knowledge.
Classifications for this position will range from YP3 - YP9 ($69,253.60 - $92,601.60 pro rata per annum) Duties: Care of acute post-operative orthopaedic patients Manage the physical and emotional well-being of the patient Effective admission and discharge processes in accordance with the hospital and unit guidelines Assist with medical and diagnostic procedures carried out in the unit Liaise with the patient, the patient's family, medical and multidisciplinary staff Skills, Experience and Qualifications: Minimum 2 years ACUTE nursing experience Current or previous experience in orthopaedic nursing Demonstrate "best practice" clinical skills Ability to facilitate team outcomes in a multidisciplinary environment Commitment to ongoing education and professional development Motivated, professional with exceptional communication and time management skills Benefits: Salary packaging Employee Assistance Program Staff Health Centre Staff Car Park Application: Please attach your resume and cover letter to your application.
