Functionally, the following business areas are included within the Corporate Services branch: Office of the Chief Operating Officer (Strategy and Governance) Finance Information Communications Technology Knowledge Management Client Insights and Communications About the role We are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader for the newly established Head of Client Insights and Communications role.
This exciting opportunity will see you lead VGSO's client engagement and communications strategies, ensuring a cohesive and innovative approach to marketing, client insights, and relationship management.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and working closely with the Executive Leadership Team, you will develop and execute strategies that enhance client relationships, strengthen VGSO's market presence, and promote our expertise across the Victorian Government.
You'll also manage a small, high-performing team and lead initiatives to improve VGSO's digital presence and client communications.

Key Responsibilities: Lead the development and implementation of VGSO's client engagement and communication strategies.
Develop a cohesive internal communications strategy and lead its implementation.
Establish and oversee client relationship management (CRM) processes to strengthen client interactions.
Develop and manage integrated marketing strategies, leveraging digital and social media channels.
Oversee VGSO's digital platforms, including the website and social media, ensuring engaging and accessible content.
Provide strategic advice to the Executive Leadership Team on client insights, marketing, and communications.
Collaborate with VGSO leadership to drive initiatives that showcase VGSO's expertise, including events, seminars, and thought leadership pieces.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Client Insights and Communications team.
About you You are a strategic and innovative leader with a strong background in communications, client engagement, and marketing.
You have experience working at a senior level, ideally within a legal or public sector environment, and are passionate about driving change and delivering high-quality outcomes.
You are collaborative, data-driven, and possess exceptional leadership skills.
Skills and experience: Extensive senior management experience in leading high-performing teams.
Proven experience in developing and managing CRM frameworks.
Strong expertise in executing integrated communication and marketing strategies.
Ability to provide expert advice to senior leadership on client insights and communications.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
Strong analytical skills to assess data and make informed decisions.
Tertiary qualifications in communications, marketing, or a related field (or relevant equivalent experience).
Previous experience within a legal environment would be highly regarded.
