Our group office has a vacancy for Head of Corporate Development & Strategy.
Located in Southbank Melbourne and reporting directly to the General Manager for Strategy, Development & Projects, this is a key and influential position across our group.
Working with our major shareholder and senior leaders, this position expertly interprets industry trends, market data, our capacity, and our capability, to develop strategies to support growth and capital management initiatives.
The primary accountabilities of the role are to: Recommend corporate development strategies, plans, and tactics.
Lead equity capital markets activities and equity/hybrid fundraising transactions.
Work with peer functions to deliver on merger, acquisition, country entry, and divestment initiatives.
Spanning business strategy, capital markets, and industry analysis, this is a rare and unique role to join a global resources organisation with a demonstrable history of achievement, including the US$5.85 billion acquisition of the Las Bambas operation and the recent US$1.88 billion acquisition of the Khoemacau mine.
To be considered, applicants must have demonstrable experiences in conceptualising compelling and unique business strategies in a global context and shaping the development of these strategies with senior leaders and shareholders.
A deep knowledge of the minerals sector is essential, together with past experiences in equity capital markets and fundraising transactions.
Applicants who can clearly demonstrate the business growth pathways they have generated because of their strategic development work will be viewed favourably.
