Leading the cocurricular piano staff at the College, the Head of Keyboard works collaboratively with other Instrument Leadership Positions and the Head of Music to create a program that supports and develops students' involvement in music ensembles throughout the College.
The Head of Keyboard is responsible for both the delivery of all private piano lessons and assisting with the coordination of the College's ensemble program.
The Head of Keyboard will provide high level accompanying skills across a range of styles and will manage all accompanying duties at the College.
Overview This is a permanent role, but as with all positions of responsibility the Head of Keyboard is tenured for three years.
The Head of Keyboard will work closely with the Head of Learning (Music) and will report to the Head of Music.
They form part of the Music Leadership Team with other Instrument Leadership Positions.
It is expected that this role will have times that require evening and weekend work and possible rehearsal times in term breaks.
This is a full-time position, commencing Friday 24 January 2025, the new staff induction day.
