An exciting opportunity is currently available for a Head of Product & Propositions to lead the development & delivery of the PHI product portfolio strategy to deliver across wider, enterprise goals.
The Organisation: Having been established in the 1950's, this private health insurance provider has revolutionised itself over the years to now become one of the number 1 health insurance providers to thousands of families and members throughout Australia that have previously served and are currently serving within the defence & military Australian forces.
The Role: Reporting into the Deputy CEO, the Head of Product & Propositions will play a critical role managing a team of 4 direct reports.
This individual will lead the end-to-end product lifecycle management of the product portfolio including health, travel insurance, and new propositions.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute the product portfolio strategy and roadmap aligned with the strategic direction and market trends.
Oversee a sustainable product portfolio that delivers on margin targets, maintains differentiation, and is valued by members.
Lead the ideation, development, and delivery of new products and propositions, ensuring they meet customer needs and regulatory requirements.
Define market pricing.
Actively contribute to and influence the pricing of all PHI products for the annual price increase submission and for new product development.
Report regularly to senior leadership on the performance and outlook of the product portfolio.
Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to identify growth opportunities.
Oversee the governance frameworks, processes, and systems to manage product and pricing.
Be the PHI product expert and keep up to date with health care advances; provide thought leadership on product and how it is impacted by internal and external dynamics.
Key Requirements: 5+ years of experience in product, marketing, or strategy management in the health insurance or financial services sector.
Proven track record of developing and launching successful products and propositions.
Proven success in defining and delivering a strategy with a track record for driving change and growth outcomes.
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interrogate analytics and extract insights to inform effective product strategy.
Proven experience in managing multiple projects and multiple stakeholders often with differing objectives.
Challenge boundaries and drive change.
Ability to translate vision/requirements into operational plans and budgets.
Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills with excellent communication skills.
