That's the #powerofexperience About the role Here in Melbourne and right across Laing O'Rourke, we are currently seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager to assist in delivering some of Australia's largest and most complex infrastructure projects.
We're embarking on a major recruitment drive, with a long list of new and exciting career opportunities.
Key responsibilities You will take the lead responsibility for all Health & Safety aspects of the project and ensure all works are completed in accordance with required contract conditions, standards/regulations and company procedures.
Lead and conduct project audits in accordance with Project Audit Schedule, and undertake periodic reviews.
Monitor and proactively engage the Project Leaders and direct HSE Reports to effectively manage the close out of Non-Conformance Reports arising from audits, and corrective action arising from incident investigations.
Positively influence the health and safety culture and performance of the project.
About you You will have a relevant Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety combined with at least 10 years' extensive experience on large scale construction projects, ideally in Australia.
You will have demonstrated audit experience.
Experience in coaching to develop safety peers and project personnel in Health, Safety and Environment.
Leadership experience.
